Last month Fameccanica Machinery Shanghai (FMS)—the wholly owned China-based arm of Italian hygiene machinery producer Fameccanica.Data SpA—successfully completed the qualification of the first full FA-X baby diaper machine built at its Shanghai plant. According to Fameccanica, the line is currently being shipped to a leading Chinese baby diaper producer.

“Our firm commitment, from the beginning of this Chinese venture, has been confirmed: FMS can deliver machines to the Chinese and Asian market,” said Donato Carriero, marketing director for Fameccanica. “Thanks to the know-how of the Italian team that shared its experience with our Chinese colleagues, who are eager to learn, we achieved this first outstanding goal and are certain we will soon achieve the position of market leader in China,” he said. “Our warm thanks goes to all the people who made this dream come true: the sales people, the designers, the buyers, the technicians who put together all the pieces, equipped, tested and successfully put into operation what is now the first FA-X baby diaper machine built by FMS.”
